Dear Friends,
It was another glorious weekend at St. Patrick Church. We had a total of 230 parishioners attend Mass over this past weekend and we were witness to several of our young children receive the Eucharist for the very first time. May God be praised!
Does something look different in the above picture of our Church? No, it's not the taped pews! The above image is a glimpse of the final touches of our Church Renovation Project that was competed last week. The walls of the choir loft are no longer bare and now reveal the images of Saint Brendan and Saint Bridget of Ireland surrounded by two adoring angels. In addition, the center of the apse on the ceiling above the Altar now depicts the image of the Holy Spirit. These works of art were created by Neilson Carlin, Kennett Square's very own artist who also created the image of the Holy Family for the 2015 World Meeting of Family in Philadelphia. I, for one, never thought St. Patrick Church could be anymore beautiful than upon the completion of the main renovation last September. However, Neil's artistic talent compliments our Church so beautifully that I now find St. Patrick's Church even more breathtaking. Below is short video of Neil hard at work on the images of Sts. Brendan and Bridget. Many thanks to Neil for sharing his God given talents with our beloved Church!
A reminder that while we remain in this restricted YELLOW phase, St. Patrick Church will continue to require seat reservation(s) only for Sunday Masses and the Saturday Vigil. Registration for Sunday Mass begins each week on Monday at 10:00 AM and closes at 5:00 PM Friday. You will be able to register for one weekend at a time. As a reminder, there is no registration required to attend a weekday Mass and you can find our Mass schedule below.
Registration for Sunday, June 21 is now open. You can register online through our parish website or you can simply click below to find our registration page. Once again, we look forward to welcoming you and your family back to the public Celebration of Mass at St. Patrick Church.
